In its role as an LCC, 1 (GE/NL) Corps commanded the Immediate Response Force Brigade (IRF), which conducted a Field Training Exercise in Rena, Norway, from 19 till 24 September. All in all; around 6,000 military and civilian personnel from 15 NATO countries took part in exercise Noble Ledger.
