NATO recognized it is imperative to ensure the full integration of UNSCR 1325 and the gender perspective in the NATO planning process. Education of all personnel contributing the planning process within 1 (GE/NL) Corps is the first step to fulfill the gender perspective focus that is required in a Joint Task Force (Land), or JTF (L).

G9 organizes together with the Gender Advisor of the Supreme Headquarters allied Powers in Europe (SHAPE) and the Non-Governmental Organisation WO=MEN an academic workshop on “Gender Perspectives in Military Organizations and its Operations– why it matters and how it can be done”.

HQ 1 GNC will conduct the Gender academics Workshop as a preparation for the JTF(L) evaluation and certification of its comprehensive approach, and to enhance the knowledge and understanding among key 1GNC staff in the subject of gender in military operations.
